The Olga cluster is a small cluster being used primarily as an application server for the research group of Max Gunzburger. |
- 2 compute nodes:
- 8 GB of RAM
- 4 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5160 3.00 GHz
- 59 GB of hard disk storage
- Single Gigabit Ethernet interface

Every user's home directory is automatically generated upon login, and is mounted across all compute nodes. DSC home directories are linked to ~/fshome on all nodes. |
|
The Olga cluster is configured to serve long running batch style jobs, by using either SGE or Condor. SGE provides the principle submission method, and Condor acts as an opportunistic back-filling mechanism. Jobs submitted to the SGE have priority over Condor jobs, hence only one SGE job can be submitted at a time. Jobs run outside of these two systems will be terminated after 30 minutes. Only owner-authorized users are permitted to log in to the Olga compute nodes. |
