Experimental Windows 7 virtual machine is deployed on classroom computers. Please be advised that they may be rebuilt without notice and your are responsible for data safekeeping per session. Here is how to use the virtual Windows 7 on classroom computers after logging in as a regular user.

  1. Go to Applications / System Tools / Oracle VM VirtualBox
  2. For first time users, click "New" on toolbar
    • Name: Class Win7 VM
      Type: Microsoft Windows
      Version: Windows 7 (64-bit)
    • Memory size: 1024 MB
    • Select "Use an existing virtual hard drive file" and browse to directory "/vbox/vbox_win7_64bit/" for file "Win7_64bit.vdi"
    • Click on "Create"
  3. If you don't already have "Class Win7 VM", go back to step 2. Select "Class Win7 VM" and click "Start" on toolbar. You will be logged in automatically as classroom user.
  4. When done with Windows 7 session, save your data if any, then go to start menu and click on "Shut down"
