A study co-authored by Professor Dennis Slice has confirmed through a complex statistical analysis that many people see human facial features in the front end of automobiles and ascribe various personality traits to cars — a modern experience driven by our prehistoric psyches. The story about Slice's research has been picked up and published in the many of the best U.S. and international publications, from the New York and Los Angeles Times to the India Review and the Online-Zeitung der Universität Wien. Slice has also been interviewed about his research by several national and international radio and television shows. His research appears in the December 2008 issue of the journal Human Nature.
