FSU researchers expand 1950s math puzzle to teach applied computing skills
A research team in the Department of Scientific Computing has expanded a 1950s math game and turned it into a project that helps undergraduate students practice and grow their skills.

Most of the department computing resources can be accessed from pamd.sc.fsu.edu.

Use the hallway or classroom or cil command to connect to our application servers. For example:

pamd% hallway
pamd2% classroom

The qlogin command is also available on our desktop workstations (e.g. hostname = dskscsXXX.sc.fsu.edu or hallway-[a-e].sc.fsu.edu)

Students can also connect to their departmental desktops directly from pamd or pamd2 as follows:

pamd% ssh dskscsXXX.sc.fsu.edu

Never use the pamd.sc.fsu.edu servers to run processor intensive jobs. Intensive processes will be terminated to ensure SSH access to pamd.sc.fsu.edu is available to all users.
