Web browsers are inherently designed with security in mind because they can access any site on the internet. To protect users from malicious content, browsers operate within a sandbox environment. While this keeps your data safe, it makes printing to local systems more challenging.
Note: Printing methods may change as browser versions are updated. The following options are currently verified for our environment.
Recommended Printing Options
- Standard Shortcut: In Chrome, use the manual override shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Chrome Print Application: On department-managed systems, you may run the "Chrome Print" application without a sandbox.
Security Warning: Running "Chrome Print" without a sandbox is not safe for general browsing. This method should be used only as a temporary measure to resolve specific printing issues.
